Hey everyone, the goal here is very simple. We want to have fun. This is an efed set in a backyard wrestling environment. It is to be loose and fun. Too many feds have come and gone that focused on being bigger than they could handle. We have been doing this for a very long time and want to keep things basic. You may notice that the forums are kind of simple. That is by design. This is a fed created by nostalgia. The aesthetic is to mimic the boards from the late 90's and early 2000's. We are purposely keeping it look simple to recreate the feel of old efeds, and frankly because many feds try to hard. This is a game of fantasy and imagination. It's a writing game. We will create imagery with our words. If that appeals to you than we would love to have you here. And so continue down to the rules. You will find we keep it very light there too.
Rules:
1) No hateful attacks or racism. We are here for fun. Hatred and Racism isn't fun. There are in character lines that can and can't be crossed in this regard. Avoiding those is best course of action.
2) Do not use another posters character(s) in your writings without expressed permission.
3) No showing may, and probably will lead to being jobbed out in your match. That doesn't mean that you will be jobbed again. Simply put writing results takes time and effort. Just as writing role plays. If your opponent takes the time to rp and you don't the match won't be competitive because we won't want to write a long match for a no show. Seriously write 20 word rps before no showing. One sentence rp if you must. We prefer you put up quality work but please don't no show. and if you do don't be mad if your character loses in quick fashion. There is always next week to rebound.
4) No real people. Create a character. We can't have Hulk Hogan or Seth Rollin's wrestling 14 year olds from downtown. But we can have characters who are obsessed with them and trying to recreate what they see from them. This is a backyard wrestling federation. So what does this mean for your character? It can be anyone except a real person. That's it. Somehow someway you have found yourself wrestling in our backyard. Telling that story is what creates the fun. Are you a 14 year old wrestling fan? Are you a 30 year old lumber worker? 50 year old billionaire? Whatever. This is the most realistic but simultaneously unrealistic idea for a fed. Have you ever played the backyard wrestling games on ps2? That's kind of what we are trying for here. "Real people" doing real fights in a backyard. So no comic book characters or cartoon/anime characters or real wrestlers/actors etc. doesn't mean you can't be goofy. That's what we are encouraging here. being fun, wild goofy, trashy, whatever. Just somewhat limited to the reality of our world.
Guidelines and other info:
Rps are to be posted before deadline. If you need an extension it may or may not be granted.
Rps are to be written. No videos or pictures. If you choose to put pics in the rp it won't help your score, but we won't hold it against you either. What we prefer is properly written descriptions. It's a writing game, not a post a ton of pics game.
A list of characters created for in character use will be provided. IE owners, commentators, interviewers etc. And can be used however you wish. That can be found in the staff board.
A lot of current efeds push twitter and other social media. I don't want that. If you want to do all of that, by all means go ahead. But I am not going to reward you or push you because you have a twitter handle and post about this fed. Our world exists here and role plays are where the role playing matters. Any beef on social media is also beyond my control. If it occurs here, that's my domain. I can squash it. Anywhere else you're out of luck.
Scoring is based solely on whomever wrote the most entertaining roleplay. Your role play should be centered around your match, but how you get to that is up to you. Be creative. I don't want to see the same monotonous wrestling promo's every week. Perhaps you wish to bring barbed wire to the match and your role play is set at home depot and you're buying it? Whatever. That's just an incredibly grounded example.
I don't care about a few typos or spelling errors. It is a writing game, but I want creativity first. Be fun and entertaining. Wins will simply be results from that. No politics at all. Should you offer to help write a match or something that won't get you a title shot.
Segments are appreciated and help tell your stories and pad the results into a larger show. Segments can be as long or short as you like and are not required, but could have overall with the shows.
Ultimately we are just here for fun.
